Insurance-based therapy is offered through Headway.
Headway works with several major insurance networks, including Aetna, Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Oscar, Oxford, UnitedHealthcare, and Optum-affiliated plans. I also accept the Cleveland Clinic Employee Health Plan (EHP) through Aetna.
Coverage depends on your specific plan and my credentialing status with that network. Your insurance information will be verified through Headway before your first session so you can review your estimated cost ahead of time.
Self-pay is also accepted, and a superbill can be provided upon request.
-
Your cost will depend on whether you are using insurance or choosing self-pay, as well as the benefits included in your individual insurance plan.
I recommend contacting your insurance company directly if you have questions about your behavioral health benefits, deductible, copay, or coinsurance.
If you are using insurance, your benefits and estimated out-of-pocket cost will also be verified through Headway before your first session.
The initial intake appointment is $175, and ongoing 53-minute therapy sessions are $150.I accept select insurance plans through Headway. Your cost will depend on your specific benefits, including any deductible, copayment, or coinsurance. Coverage will be verified before your first appointment whenever possible.
If you are paying privately or choosing not to use insurance, you will receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of services. HSA and FSA cards are also accepted.
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, may be subject to a $100 fee.

Vela is a fully virtual practice, making it easier to fit therapy into the realities of everyday life and motherhood. Sessions are provided through a secure telehealth platform, allowing you to connect from the comfort and privacy of your own space while reducing the need for travel, childcare arrangements, or additional time away from your day.
To receive services, clients must be physically located in Ohio at the time of each appointment.

Not at all. Perinatal mental health is one of my specialties, but I work with women across many different seasons of life.

Complete the inquiry form and tell me a little about what you are looking for support with.
I’ll review your information to make sure my experience, availability, and approach are a good fit for what you need.
If it seems like a good match, we’ll move forward with scheduling your first appointment and completing the necessary intake paperwork.
-
The first session is a chance for me to get to know you beyond what brought you to therapy.
We’ll talk about what has been happening, relevant history, what you would like to feel different, and where it makes the most sense to begin.
You do not need to prepare anything or know exactly what you want to say.

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations and missed appointments are charged a $100 fee. One emergency exception is offered when needed.
Vela is not a crisis service and messages are not monitored continuously.
